Grades
Grades at CAVA are standards based, with an emphasis on student mastery of standard specific content.
Mastery can be tracked in the OLS under "Courses", and progress reports are shared bi-weekly by Mrs. Donaghy to your email address on file.
During our LIVE classes we focus on a mix of OLS sandards and the 5 Essential Standards.

Standards based grading can feel confusing at times, but a fair way to convert standard based grades to "traditonal" letter grade scales (which you will experience in middle school) can be viewed as:

Non-Academic grades are a culmination of:
Work and Study Habits
Completes online coursework consistently and on time, as indicated on the ILP
Completes offline assignments neatly and submits on time, as indicated on the ILP
Attends assigned live instructional sessions regularly
Listens attentively and follows directions
Responsibility for learning
Works well with others and demonstrates respect for others
Contributes to classroom discussions and activities
Accepts responsibility for classroom behavior
